We believe that great art should be accessible to everyone.

What is Appetite?

Appetite is a vibrant arts programme bringing world-class, inspiring cultural experiences to Stoke-on-Trent.

We believe great art should be for everyone, so we work hard to remove barriers making it easy for everyone to join in.

Our events are designed with audience access in mind, and we build in features such as audio description, BSL interpretation and touch tours.

We proactively seek out different communities to invite along and support diverse artists – including those with SEND – to share their work.

Community Decision Making

Want to have a say about what happens in your city?

Excited to be a part of something special?

We’re looking for people who want to help shape the delicious art Appetite brings to the streets of Stoke-on-Trent. You don’t need any arts experience - just ideas, opinions and an interest in your local area.

As an Appetite Community Decision Maker, your voice will help shape our programme of events and activities, ensuring local people are at the heart of what we do.

Interested in how events work?

We are always looking for Volunteers to help us run our events and create fun, relaxed, inspiring experiences for those who attend.

We’ll always make sure you have food and a drink and will give you a uniform to wear. Our opportunities are flexible around you, and we try our best to match you to roles that suit you and your interests.

Sign up to the BSL & dDeaf newsletter and we will let you know when we have performances by dDeaf artists - such as dDeaflinks Staffordshire Silent Choir (below) - that have BSL included, or an interpreter.

We’d also like to encourage more members of the dDeaf community to become Appetite Community Decision Makers and help us shape our programme.
