Committed to inclusion and access in all we do
How we work with groups
At Appetite, we work closely with community groups and organisations to create welcoming opportunities for people to get involved in arts and culture.
We believe creativity can play an important role in building confidence, improving wellbeing and creating meaningful social connections, and we work alongside trusted local groups to help make this possible.
We can support groups to access free cultural experiences, including hosted visits to performances and events, with support for travel costs and refreshments where possible. These experiences give people the chance to try something new, spend time together and discover creative opportunities happening in their local area.
Groups can also help shape Appetite’s programme through creative consultations, conversations and feedback sessions, ensuring local voices are represented in the work we do. For those wanting to get more involved, we offer flexible volunteering opportunities at events and activities, helping people build skills, confidence and connections in a supportive environment.
Whether your group would like to attend events together, influence local programming or explore new creative experiences, we’d love to work with you.

Walk Talk Action
Case Study
We have worked with Walk Talk Action, a Stoke-on-Trent based CIC supporting people experiencing mental health challenges through walking, activities and social connection, to help the people they work with get involved in arts and culture. Together, we have created opportunities for people to spend time together, try something new and support their wellbeing through shared creative experiences.
Walk Talk Action have attended a number of Appetite events through hosted visits, where groups are welcomed to events with a guided ‘VIP’ experience, alongside free refreshments or lunch and support with travel costs where possible. The group have also attended Appetite Take Aways, including visits to World of Wedgwood and British Ceramics Biennial.
Some participants have since gone on to become Appetite Community Decision Makers, helping shape and influence Appetite’s future programme.
