Below you’ll find everything you need to plan and enjoy your visit to The Big Feast 2026. We’re committed to making the festival as welcoming, inclusive and accessible as possible.

Where is the event?

The Big Feast takes place around Stoke-on-Trent City Centre (Hanley). Most of the performances happen outdoor on the streets and green spaces, with a couple of activities taking place indoors.

You can download a PDF or bookmark the full brochure, the map, and the schedule, which show you where each performance and activity is taking place.

Hanley is on a hill so some routes between locations include slopes.

The suggested flattest route is:

Potteries Centre ~ Parliament Row ~ Tontine Street ~ Albion Pub ~ Bus Station ~ The Town Hall

Do I need a ticket?

No, The Big Feast is free and most activities are drop-in unless otherwise stated.

The one exception to this is Indian Wood Block Printing, which is still free but can be booked in advance. There will still be some walk-up places available on the day that will be given out on a first come, first served basis. If you're with a group, however, or want to be certain that you don't miss out, booking is recommended.

Most performances and activities are suitable for all ages, with a few exceptions. Any age guidance is shown on the performance listing.

Where can I park?

If you live close by, consider walking to the event if you can.

The closest car parks to the event are:

Cultural Quarter (John Street) Multi Storey, ST1 3BP. There are 13 Blue Badge spaces, which are chargeable.

Charles Street Car Park, ST1 3AN. There are no Blue Badge bays in this car park, but badge holders can park in the on-street spaces beside it for free.

On-street Blue Badge parking

Free, on-street Blue Badge parking is available close by at:

  • Albion Street

  • Bagnall Street

  • Charles Street

  • Cheapside

  • Gitana Street

  • Trinity Street

Please refer to street signage for further information.

Every festival area:

  • Is wheelchair accessible and has level access

  • Has an accessible viewing area with seating for static performances

  • Welcomes assistance dogs

  • Will have stewards who can help you

How accessible is The Big Feast?

The map includes access points including:

  • Places where ear defenders and audio descriptions kits can be loaned from

  • First Aid

  • Changes Places Toilets

  • Quieter spots should you need time away from the busy streets

Some performances have BSL interpretation, Audio Description and Touch Tours, which are shown on the performance listings and indicated with an icon in the brochure schedule.

All performances are relaxed so you're welcome to move around and come and go whenever you need to.
