ABOUT
Introducing Calamity Dames these Rootin Tootin Cowgirls will give any Cowboy a run for their money!
In a male dominated Rodeo arena, these horse ridin', gun slingin', whip crackin' gals are now calling the shots!
A comedy dance theatre show inspired by famous, notorious Cowgirls in history, both real and fictional.
YeeeeeHaaaaaa! Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride!
You can expect to see 3 dancers with energetic choreography, slapstick comedy, a stuffed horse, a bar scene with plenty of audience interaction, line dancing, hoe downs and more! Set to country music and Western classic songs such as 'Raw Hide' and 'Stand By Your Man' . Fun for all the family!

Benches and chairs are available at this performance.
The 13:00 show will have Audio Description. As an Appetite Volunteer in a blue T-shirt for a headset.
Note: The cowgirls shout 'Yeehaa!' frequently during the piece. It is a comedy show but the characters can be a bit aggressive. There are gun shots but they are edited into the music and are comedy rather than scary and not too loud. There is audience interaction but you don't have to join in.

Kitsch & Sync Collective was set up in 2011 by Kylie Ann Smith and Kim Noble. They are a female-led, dance theatre company, making bold, visual and comedic work inspired by all things vintage, retro and wonderfully absurd. They perform mostly outdoors bringing art to the streets, making pop-up performances, walkabout acts, full length shows and short films, mixing choreography, text, song and circus elements. They take inspiration from different eras, looking at the fashions, fads, iconic characters and pop culture of the time to inform the work they make, with an added contemporary twist for today’s audiences!
Kitsch & Sync have created Dementia friendly shows for care homes, Doorbell Dance-O-Grams where they surprise people on their doorsteps, accessible shows in supported living for adults with additional needs, children’s shows on a travelling theatre trailer for school playgrounds, as well as Street Theatre events, Music Festivals and Immersive Club Nights.
